Ok, I can go on and on about how I genuinely want you to have a wonderful Christmas and may 2007 bring you all good health and prosperity, but that would be too conventional. And, if you really know me, I’m not that conventional nor set in my ways. Instead, here’s what I’d like you to do at your own pace over the holiday season:
1) Relax – Here’s your chance to chill out and slow down your rhythm and unwind the fast pace of our post modern times. Remember that our best thoughts, ideas and plans come to mind when we’re in a comfortable place mentally.
2) Reflect – 2006 may have gone by quicker that you anticipated, and here’s your chance to scan through every one of its months and learn what you can. Mistakes, achievements, disappointments, surprises, hurts, triumphs and successes are all things we’ve experienced at some point; go through them and see what else you can learn from them.
3) Recharge – Remember that in order to maintain harmony in your life, you need to nurture an ongoing balance in all areas of your life. Here’s your chance to heal old wounds, make your peace with yourself and others you may be in conflict with and become who you wish to be. Remember that life is simply an ongoing education that contributes to our emotional and spiritual evolution. Embrace that, and allow yourself the chance to look back and learn from the experiences you’ve had. Think of this stage as rebooting your inner PC to start with newly installed software that can help you in the year ahead.
4) Resume - One of my favourite songs is “That’s Life” by Frank Sinatra. There is a particular verse that goes: “When I find myself flat on my face, I just pick myself up and get back in the race……That’s Life”. After every fall, or achievement there awaits one constructive step, to resume and start moving ahead once more. Once you have decided on your new set of goals (however small or big) and recharged yourself, it is time to get back on track with gusto and passion and work your way forward.
Make it happen, and remember to live, and not just exist.
Wishing you Peace & Success,
Taymour
